Organized by the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, “Let’s Light Up Georgetown!” brings a friendly competition to annual decorating. Four judges from the chamber will be looking for the best traditional, spirited, creative, and brightest displays Tuesday night. Winners in the four categories will be announced on December 16.
On top of the light displays, a “Topsy Turvy” socially distanced parade is taking place too, all in hopes of bringing more people to town and spreading cheer.
“To end the year on such a joyous type of atmosphere,” Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce President Linda Price said. “That coupled with the parade we are going to have on Tuesday. It gives some spirit and hope and we want to give a little Christmas cheer to everyone that is out there.”
The event will continue through December 15. To find all of the displays, visit the map at https://www.georgetowncoc.com/lets-light-up-georgetown/.
