    SUPPORT HB 445: Reducing Gross Receipts by 50%

Most states don’t have the hidden sales tax – aka gross receipts tax. With inflation raging at 40-year highs, Delaware should not be one of seven states forcing retailers to charge more for their products.                                               CLICK HERE   Email the House Revenue & Finance Committee to support the passage of HB 445.     OPPOSE HB 435: Community Workforce Act

Government officials have a duty to the public to be fiscally responsible and to avoid favoritism in the procurement process. These interests are not served when an agency requires a union-only Project Labor Agreement, which discourages the vast majority of the industry from bidding. Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) laws are instrumental in keeping our government in check by uncovering instances of fraud, waste, and abuse. Senate Bill 155 will inhibit the public’s ability to access information about state government.

SUPPORT HB 405: Creation of an Office of Inspector General

When state agencies fail in their missions or ignore their responsibilities, the public has the right to report issues, demand solutions and expect corrective actions to be implemented — a role that the Office of the Inspector General would fulfill through its mission of transparency and accountability.
