Lead in School Meeting

“Protecting the health and wellbeing of Delaware’s children – in and out of school – is one of the most important responsibilities that state government has. After elevated levels of lead were found in many school fixtures and a lack of communication resulted in unacceptable delays in communication with school communities, it’s clear we need an ongoing, whole-of-government conversation to guarantee a trustworthy testing program is in place and, ultimately, that we work together to eliminate the risk of lead exposure wherever it may occur.” Senator McBride

Following last Fall’s forum on the state’s school lead testing program, the Senate Health and Social Services Committee will be holding a hearing on the testing program and childhood lead exposure prevention on Tuesday at 5:30 PM. Attendees can join virtually or in-person. You can register to join virtually here: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN__DGDxP0mTmq8JAILIEl2iQ
