On Tuesday, my office received a call from Pastor Diane Loftland from New Coverdale Outreach Mission located in Seaford. She stated that her Mission was notified that they were not on the list to receive the needed toys for almost 100 children in their community. I am blessed to have my Legislative Aide, Sara Poore, who jumped into action making calls and coordinating with the community. Our Caucus Communications Director, Matt Revel contacted Charity Crossing who graciously donated several large boxes full of assorted toys. This, along with the outpouring of support from the local community including the Sussex Republican Women’s Club and the Sussex County GOP, has been humbling and heartwarming to see.
Please know your generosity assisted in making sure every child on the list will receive a toy Christmas morning. I am honored to serve as your State Senator for the 21st Senatorial District.
