Late Tuesday afternoon (4/27), Governor John Carney modified his COVID-19 emergency order, easing outdoor table capacity restrictions on restaurants.
Under the order, outdoor table size is increased to parties of 10 people. The rules imposed by the governor on seating inside food and drink establishments has not changed.
The revision also removes certain cleaning and disinfection requirements, reflecting new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control that the risk of spreading the virus through contaminated hard surfaces is low.
