The General Assembly will be in recess next week as the Joint Bond Bill Committee conducts hearings.
The Bond Bill is the mechanism Delaware uses to finance public works projects, including the construction of schools and roads and the maintenance of state facilities. The projects are funded with a combination of cash and money raised through the sale of state bonds to investors.
The $1.184 billion FY 2023 Bond Bill proposed by Gov. John Carney in January would be the second-largest in state history, eclipsed only by the current $1.35 billion capital spending plan.
