EV Mandate Town Hall Meeting #1
Recorded live
Delaware State House of Representatives – Republican Caucus
A public town hall meeting to discuss pending regulations to restrict, and eventually ban, the sale of new gasoline and diesel cars, trucks, and SUV in Delaware. The regulations seek to mandate the growing sale of zero-emission vehicles (largely, battery electric vehicles). Starting in the fall of 2025, 35% of all new vehicle sales would need to be electric vehicles. The percentage would increase every year afterward until the fall of 2034 when all new vehicles sold or registered in Delaware would be required to be zero-emission – banning the sale of fuel-powered light vehicles.
This meeting, hosted by the Indian River Senior Center in Millsboro, is the first of five scheduled town halls to discuss the topic.
