Disposing, Recycling Your Christmas Tree

Posted on 12-22-2020

Delaware’s state parks no longer accept trees for recycling but there are other options available, including state and private facilities.

Some of these sites accept trees at no cost, while others charge for the service. Before dropping off trees, call the site in advance to see what restrictions apply and if there is a fee. Residents who pay for curbside collection service should call their waste hauler to see if they offer Christmas tree pickup and, if so, during what time frame.
