“Delaware has fallen to next to last in the 50 states. Our pandemic education response is a man-made disaster. In Dover, we allocated 50,000 to an after-school tutoring program. It’s not our job, but the DOE is failing our children and if leadership isn’t exercised, our children will suffer loss for a lifetime. Only 53% of Delaware 4th grade children test at the basic level or above with less than 19% being proficient in reading. That’s insane. It’s a scandal.
The biggest education failure of any governor, Governor John Carney has no plans to get us out of the ditch.”
