DEGOP to Create a Community Center in Wilmington,
Delaware with Grant from Republican National Committee
In case you didn’t get this, I wanted to share this very exciting news with you.
DEGOP to Create a Community Center in Wilmington, Delaware with Grant from Republican National Committee Exciting News! Yesterday at the meeting of the Republican National Committee in Oklahoma City, Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the RNC, announced to the Delaware Delegation that the RNC will commit to funding a Community Center in downtown Wilmington to establish a presence in urban neighborhoods. This will be a new part of our strategy to continue to engage the African American and Hispanic communities and grow the Party. “While Delaware isn’t a state that traditionally receives national investment, we are pleased to partner with the DEGOP to help open a Community Center in New Castle County. We are doing this in large part because we believe in Jane Brady’s leadership, know that she will be an effective steward of this investment, and have seen her record of outreach to communities that aren’t traditionally Republican. We look forward to working with Jane, Hank McCann, Mary McCrossan, and all the Delaware Republicans to increase support of our candidates in the 2024 election cycle”, stated Ronna McDaniel. The Community Center will be modeled after RNC’s success with similar centers in College Park, Georgia, San Antonio, TX, and Cleveland, OH. The plan is to grow the Republican Party, build lasting relationships, and work to earn the voter’s trust from all communities. The commitment includes resources for a storefront site in Wilmington, dedicated staff, and multiple programs to meet the needs of the community, such as tutoring, helping young people with resumes and interviewing skills, and providing resources like coats and school supplies, as well as registering voters and running campaigns. I am very excited to be able to have a steady presence in the City of Wilmington and to have a new way to bring our message of opportunity, family, and success to new communities. I also appreciate Ronna McDaniel’s confidence in me and the Delaware Delegation. Building our relationship with the RNC has been one part of our fundraising strategy and will help us now and into the future. Thank you to Hank, Mary, and everyone who has been a part of the planning so far. This is good news for everyone in Delaware.
Jane Brady Chair,
Delaware State Republican Party
