The Sussex County Republican Committee participated in the Apple Scrapple Festival on October 9th in Bridgeville.
The annual open-air street festival with its hundreds of crafters, vendors as well as lots of food draws fun-seekers from all around Delaware and parts of Maryland and Pennsylvania. Political Row is where the SCRC raised its tent right next to Representative Ruth Briggs King, Senator Brian Pettyjohn, and Senator Dave Wilson. Other neighbors on the Row were the Democrats and Libertarians.
Our volunteers were warmly welcomed by the event participants. Lewis and Lisa Briggs, Hylton Phillips-Page, Sherry Long, Al Frech, and Frank Knox all said that many people who stopped by our booth were interested in becoming involved with the Sussex GOP and were interested in what activities and plans we had for the important upcoming mid-term elections.
It was a good event and everyone is looking forward to doing it again next year.
