Sussex County Delaware 2022 Elections

As you all know, there will be very important elections this year – both a primary and a general.  There are also critical School Board elections and possibly Special Elections and referendums.  In addition, Delaware is planning to offer “Early Voting” for the first time ever.  Sussex County has also gained a new Representative District – RD 4.  With all this said, the Department of Elections will require many more workers at the polls.

It is uncertain at this time just how many Inspectors, Judges, and Clerks will be necessary. These are paid positions that the Department of Elections must fill.  The hours are long, 6:00 AM until approximately 9:30 PM and participants must be prepared to stay at the polling place throughout the voting day - from beginning to end.  Training is available.  The Department of Elections’ website offers the information anyone interested in pursuing this opportunity would need.  You can find the information here:

https://elections.delaware.gov/information/electionofficers.shtml

If you decide to fill one of these positions, please let us know as well as where you are assigned as this information becomes available.  (SussexGOP@protonmail.com)  We know that assignments will be made much closer to the elections.  We are attempting to have a presence in each polling place in the form of “Checker/Challengers.”  We expect that filling all of these will be very difficult and if we know we have a poll worker inside, we will be able to assign our resources to polling places that do not have our members as poll workers.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.
