About Us

Sussex County Delaware 2022 Elections

As you all know, there will be very important elections this year – both a primary and a general.  There are also critical School Board elections and possibly Special Elections and referendums.  In addition, Delaware is planning to offer “Early Voting” for the first time ever.  Sussex County has also gained a new Representative District – RD 4.  With all this said, the Department of Elections will require many more workers at the polls.

It is uncertain at this time just how many Inspectors, Judges, and Clerks will be necessary. These are paid positions that the Department of Elections must fill.  The hours are long, 6:00 AM until approximately 9:30 PM and participants must be prepared to stay at the polling place throughout the voting day - from beginning to end.  Training is available.  The Department of Elections’ website offers the information anyone interested in pursuing this opportunity would need.  You can find the information here:

If you decide to fill one of these positions, please let us know as well as where you are assigned as this information becomes available.  (SussexGOP@protonmail.com)  We know that assignments will be made much closer to the elections.  We are attempting to have a presence in each polling place in the form of “Checker/Challengers.”  We expect that filling all of these will be very difficult and if we know we have a poll worker inside, we will be able to assign our resources to polling places that do not have our members as poll workers.

Thanks in advance for your consideration.

  • Individual ability, dignity, freedom, and responsibility are basic to good government.
  • The free enterprise system and the encouragement of individual initiative and incentive are musts for a strong economy.
  • Government exists to protect the freedom of each individual, not restrict it.
  • Government should get involved only in those things that the people cannot do or cannot do well for themselves.
  • Both government and society should assist those who cannot provide for themselves and should help them become self-supporting, productive citizens with pride their independence.
  • Equal rights, equal justice, and equal opportunity belong to all regardless of race, creed, color, national origin or sex.
  • The preservation of our nation and the security of our citizens depend on every citizen’s respect for the Constitution, the laws and the courts.
  • Government must maintain sound monetary system and a responsible economy. The rights of life and liberty are meaningless if citizens are deprived of their property through excessive taxation, inflation, and government waste.
